Jeff Novatt, J.D., LL.M.
Jeff Novatt is a Naples business lawyer practicing in the areas of business transactions, corporate, partnership and tax law.​ He graduated from Duke University, cum laude, in 1980 with a degree in accounting and obtained his law degree, with honors, from the University of Florida College of Law in 1983.​ While at the University of Florida, he was a member of the University of Florida Law Review and received the book awards for the highest grade in the courses of Federal Income Taxation and Income Taxation of Estates and Trusts. Mr. Novatt also received an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University in 1984 and is AV Rated by Martindale Hubbell.
Mr. Novatt is admitted to practice law in Florida and California, and practiced law in Los Angeles, California for fifteen years before moving to Naples in 1999. Prior to opening the Law Office of Jeff Novatt, P.A., Mr. Novatt was a partner of the law firm Price, Siket, Solis & Novatt in Naples and a shareholder and principal of the law firm of Cheffy Passidomo, P.A. in Naples.
He is a member of the Collier County Bar Association and the Business and Taxation Sections of the Florida Bar. Mr. Novatt has been admitted to the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Claims Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. He has written and is a lecturer on tax and business law matters.
Mr. Novatt serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Seacrest Country Day School. He also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of The Aircast Foundation. Mr. Novatt is a member of the Board of Visitors Mentor Program for Ave Maria School of Law. He is a member of the Leadership Collier Class of 2012.
Mr. Novatt has served as the business attorney panelist for the "Starting Your Own Business in Collier County" Workshops presented by the Collier County Chapter of the Service Corps of Retired Executives Association (SCORE). He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the North Naples Little League and remains active in the Duke Alumni Club of Southwest Florida.
